Pavlik, Thunder team up for book Signing

Youngstown, OH. - The Mahoning Valley Thunder is pleased to announce that Middleweight Champion of the World, Kelly "The Ghost" Pavlik will be on hand signing autographs Friday, June 19th from 6 to 8 p.m. during the Thunder's home game. That evening Mahoning Valley hosts the Manchester Wolves at 7:05 p.m. on Cortland Banks Field inside of the Covelli Centre. In addition to the Pavlik signing, the Thunder will be celebrating Civil Service Night. All tickets for the game will be $5.

Pavlik will be signing copies of the new book - Kelly "The Ghost" Pavlik: The Pride of Youngstown, written by David Lee Morgan and Greg Gulas. Both Morgan and Gulas were given exclusive permission to tell the story of Pavlik's rise from amateur to World Champion. Copies of the book will be available for purchase the evening of the Thunder game for $16. The first 100 fans to buy a copy of the book will receive a free Pavlik vs.Rubio tee shirt. Pavlik will begin singing autographs when the doors open at 6 p.m. Fans must present a Thunder ticket to enter the arena. All game tickets will be specially priced at $5.

June 19th also marks the Thunder's celebration of Civil Service Night. Join the Thunder in honoring local Civil Service personnel from police and fire departments as well as the military. The U.S. Army will have an on-field swearing in session for new soldiers during pregame. Also included will be a Rock Wall for climbing and other U.S. Army activities both in the concourse area and outside of the arena.
