Week in Review
Monday, February 1st Kootenay Ice 2 Regina Pats 1 so
This was their make-up date from the cancelled January 24th game that was postponed because of poor weather and driving conditions. It was a grind of a night with both goaltenders leading the way in a 2-1 Kootenay shoot-out win. Jordan Eberle and Matt Fraser scored the lone goals, while Jesse Ismond picked up the shoot-out winner. Damien Ketlo was stopped 31 shots in the loss, while Todd Matthews kicked away 25 shots during the game and 2 of 3 Pats shoot-out shooters
Tuesday, February 2nd Red Deer Rebels 3 Regina Pats 2 so
The Pats went to a shoot-out for the second straight night and for the second straight time, the Pats lost in extra shooters. Matt Strueby forced extra time with the game tying goal with just 12 seconds left in the game. Damien Ketlo stopped 34 of 36 shots in the loss.
Friday, February 5th Saskatoon Blades 5 Regina Pats 4 so
The Pats went to a shoot-out for the third straight time last Friday night, and for the third straight time, they went down to defeats. This time it was to the Saskatoon Blades 4-3. Jordan Eberle scored twice in the loss, while Cass Mappin picked up the other Pat goals. Damien Ketlo was fantastic, yet again with 37 saves.
Saturday, February 6th Regina Pats 5 Kootenay Ice 4 ot
The Pats were down 4-2 with fewer than 2 minutes left when Cody Carlson began the comeback with his 5th goal of the season, then Jordan Eberle stepped up again, tying the game with 56 seconds left to send it to overtime. From there, it was the most unlikely of hero's, Mitch Spooner, who scored the game winning goal in overtime for the 5-4, win.

Kets great at home:
Pats goaltender, Damien Ketlo has had his ups and downs this season, battling back from both a sprained hip flexor and a partially separated shoulder. The one thing the Pats can count on is how good he has been at home. Heading into tonight Ketlo is 12-2-0-4 at the Brandt Centre
Defensive Scoring:
The Pats have three defencemen in the team's top ten scorers. Colten Teubert leads with 33 points; Brandon Davidson has 30 and Cody Carlson are right behind him with 29.

Mid-Term Rankings: The NHL CSS mid-term draft rankings were released earlier this week, and the Pats are represented with a pair of players. Jordan Weal is 45 in North American skaters, while Brandon Davidson continues to move up the rankings, he is now 57th. Jordan Weal will play in the CHL Top Prospects game January 19th and 20th in Windsor.

With the Pats trying to grind their way to a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference, they have found a way to get points in all but one of their last 12 games. 7 of them have gone to overtime with 6 going to a shoot-out with the Pats winning 2 of them.
Cardiac Kids:
In their last three games, the Regina Pats have needed to pull out the last minute heroics to tie hockey games. On Tuesday against Red Deer, Matt Strueby tied the game with 12 seconds left, Friday night saw Jordan Eberle score with 2:36 left to tie Saskatoon, and on Saturday, both Carter Ashton and Jordan Eberle scored in the final two minutes to tie Kootenay.

Sportsman's Dinner is set for March:
The annual Regina Pats Sportman's Dinner is set for March 8th at the Delta Inn. The doors open at 6pm with cocktails, the dinner and ceremonies begin at 7pm. Kevin Lowe will be the guest speaker. Get your tickets by dropping by the Regina Pats office, or call 522-PATS for more information.
Goals for Kids:
With the Pats scoring 12 times this week gives them a season total of 196; the Prairie Mobile Communications "goals for kids" fund is now up to $2940. $15 from every goal scored will be donated to the Ranch Ehrlo Outdoor Hockey League, courtesy of Prairie Mobile Communications.
In the Community:
Western Pizza "Have a Heart" night is coming up next week. On Monday, February 15th, all of the Pats players will be delivering Western Pizza to folks across Regina with the delivery fees and tips going to the Regina Heart and Stroke Foundation. The Pats have raised almost 35-thousand dollars over the last few seasons that this great program existence.

The Pats will take on one of the top teams in the CHL on Tuesday night in the Brandon Wheat Kings. The Pats won the last meeting between the two that happened at the Brandt Centre on January 13, 4-2
Wednesday, February 10th Calgary @ Regina
The top team in the Central Division, the Calgary Hitmen, will make their second and final appearance at the Brandt Centre. The Hitmen have won the three previous meetings between the two
Friday, February 12th Regina @ Red Deer
The Pats will begin their final swing of the season out west with a date with the Rebels. The blue and white will look to avenge their 3-2 shoot-out loss to the Rebels at the Brandt Centre this past Tuesday.
Saturday, February 13th Regina @ Edmonton
The Pats will play the Edmonton Oil Kings for the final time this season. The home teams have won the first three meetings.
