
Pate Joins Flight Front Office Staff

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., September 15, 2003 â Huntsville Flight president Kurt Luttermoser announced today the hiring of Cliff Pate to the team's front office staff. Pate, a native of Evansville, Ind., will serve in the role of Director of Operations.
"We are excited to have Cliff join our staff as he brings a tremendous amount of minor league sports experience to this organization," Luttermoser said. "His knowledge of the market will be a benefit as we continue to grow in the Tennessee Valley."
Pate most recently spent five seasons with the Huntsville Stars, the Double-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers Baseball Club. After starting there in the role of Ticket Manager and Operations Assistant for two seasons, he has spent the last three years as Assistant General Manager.
Some of his responsibilities for the Stars included promotions, advertising, sales, as well as the Stars internship program. He held additional duties such as overseeing the team's computer systems as well as Stars' the website.
Pate is a graduate of the University of Alabama in Huntsville, earning a B.S. in mathematics. Following graduation, Pate spent a year as an intern for the Class A Asheville Tourists of the South Atlantic League.
Pate resides in Huntsville with his wife, Angela, and daughter, Lauren.
