Parrots in the Playoff Hunt

The Winston-Salem Parrots find themselves tied for the fourth (and final) playoff spot in the Atlantic Coast Hockey League as they begin play this week. The Parrots are tied with the Macon Trax as each team has 36 points in the league standings. The Cape Fear Fire Antz are in third place, only one point ahead with 37 points.

Darryl Noren took over for the departed Bruce Ramsay as Head Coach of the Parrots on February 7th. Noren won his first game behind the bench, a 5-4 overtime win against Jacksonville on 2/7.

Parrots Team Highlights:

Chris Cerrella is sixth in the ACHL in scoring with 27 goals & 28 assists for 55 points. He is also second in goals scored with his 27 goals and leads the ACHL in shots with an even 200.

Matt Holmes is tied for the league lead in game winning goals with six.

Andrew Dickson is second in the ACHL in plus/minus with a +22 rating.
