Parrots Begin ACHL Playoffs on Thursday

The Winston-Salem Parrots of the Atlantic Coast Hockey League begin the ACHL Playoffs this coming Thursday. The best of five semi-final round matches the Parrots and the Knoxville Ice Bears. Due to limited ice availability, the Parrots will only play one home playoff game: Saturday night @ 7:30PM at "The Joel" (Joel Coliseum Annex).
Parrots Semi-Finals Playoff Schedule: (Vs. Knoxville Ice Bears)
Thursday 3/20: @ Knoxville (7:30PM)
Friday 3/21: @ Knoxville (7:30PM)
Saturday 3/22: HOME GAME vs. Knoxville (Joel Coliseum Annex: 7:30PM)
Tickets: $9.00 & $11.00.......LAST HOME GAME OF THE YEAR.
Tuesday 3/25: @ Knoxville (7:30PM)*
Wednesday 3/26: @ Knoxville (7:30PM)*

Game Cancelled:
The Parrots final regular season home game which was scheduled for Tuesday, March 18th against Orlando has been cancelled as the game had no bearing on the regular season standings. Please contact the Parrots office at 722-7445 for refund information.
Parrots Player Highlights:
*Centerman John Gurskis ended up the Parrots leading scorer with 13 goals and 40 assists for 53 points.He led the Parrots in assists, as well, with his 40.
*Center Matt Holmes led the Parrots in goals with 22. He also led the team in shorthanded goals (5) and game winning goals (6).
*Defenseman Andrew Dickson was the plus/minus leader with a +18 rating.
*Goaltender Dan McIntyre posted a league best 2.10 goals against average in 26 games played. Goaltender Dean Weasler had a 2.80 goals against average in 14 games with the Parrots.
