
Paquet traded to Baie-Comeau

BOUCHERVILLE, Thursday, December 28, 2006 - The Shawinigan Cataractes pulled the trigger on another trade early this afternoon. They sent highly touted defenseman Jean-Philippe Paquet (87-01-07) and a fifth round pick (acquired from Lewiston) in the 2007 QMJHL Entry Draft to the Drakkar for defenseman Adam Leblanc-Bourque (89-04-08) and winger Francis Filion (89-05-03).
Paquet registered six goals and twenty-four helpers in thirty-seven games with the Cataractes this season. Leblanc-Bourque accumulated sixteen points in thirty-seven starts while Filion had three goals and three assists in thirty-four games for the Drakkar.
The trade period ends on Monday, January 8, at noon.
