
Panther City Lacrosse Club Squares off against Rochester Knighthawks

FORT WORTH, TX - The Panther City Lacrosse Club (5-5) concludes their double-header weekend with a Sunday matinee matchup against the visiting Rochester Knighthawks (3-6) at Dickies Arena at 3 p.m. CT. Ron Thulin (PxP), Dalton Jernigan (Analyst) and Maggie Hale (Floor Reporter) will be on the call for Bally Sports SW + and ESPN+.
Panther City lost their first contest of the weekend in an overtime thriller against the San Diego Seals on Friday night, 10-9. Nick Damude, despite the loss set a career high and franchise record with 59 saves on 69 shot attempts to finish the evening with an 85.5 save percentage. The saves, shots on goal and save percentage are all season highs for Damude. Damude's career high save percentage is .909 that he set against the Las Vegas Desert Dogs last season (12/16/22).
Will Malcom led the way points wise for the club from Fort Worth on Friday, notching six points (1G/5A), and his five assists led the team. Since joining the Panther City Lacrosse Club, forward Will Malcom has been one of the club's most consistent offensive threats. Malcom has recorded a point in every game he has played in in a Panther City jersey (45 games) and has scored a goal in 41 of the 45 games he has played in.
Callum Crawford finished Friday night with five points (3G/2A), recording his eighth career hat trick with Panther City in 20 games played. The eight career hat tricks are second in franchise history, only trailing Will Malcom (11).
The visiting Knighthawks make their first ever appearance at Dickies Arena and Fort Worth. Their offense is led by the duo of Connor Fields (60 points - 26G/34A) and Ryan Smith (57 points - 28G/29A). Defender Matt Gilray leads the club out of the back door with 95 loose balls and 18 caused turnovers through nine games.
The game will also feature a matchup of the 2021 and 2022 number one overall picks in the NLL Entry Draft as Panther City selected Jonathan Donville first overall in 2021 and Rochester selected Thomas McConvey first in 2022.
