Panther City Lacrosse Club Signs Liam Byrnes and Connor Sellars to Two-Year Deals

FORT WORTH, TX - The Panther City Lacrosse Club has signed defensemen Liam Byrnes and Connor Sellars to two-year deals, the team announced today.

Byrnes returns to Panther City after leading the club's defense in both caused turnovers (26) and loose balls (137), both top ten in the NLL. The New York native was the third selection in the 2021 NLL Expansion Draft by Panther City from Philadelphia and has claimed 257 ground balls and forced 49 turnovers in his 45 NLL games.

Sellars was acquired by Panther City via trade from the Georgia Swarm prior to the 2021 NLL Entry Draft. Hailing from Brampton, he ranked fourth on the team in both caused turnovers (17) and loose balls (88) and will be entering his sixth year in the NLL next season. In his five years, Sellars has played at least 10 games in every season (79 total) and claimed 349 ground balls, while forcing 58 turnovers.
