December 2, 2021 - National Lacrosse League (NLL) - Panther City Lacrosse Club News Release

The Panther City Lacrosse Club (0-0) take on the Philadelphia Wings (0-0) to kick off the team's inaugural 2021-22 season at 6:00 p.m. CT at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. The game will be broadcast locally on Bally Sports Southwest Plus and streamed on ESPN+.

The Wings will square off against several familiar faces such as defenseman Liam Byrnes, who led the team in caused turnovers last season with 14, defenseman Liam Patten, who averaged the third most time on the floor with Philadelphia (19:36), and Panther City Head Coach Tracey Kelusky, who served as the team's offensive coach last season.

Panther City will turn to veteran Ryan Benesch to facilitate the team's scoring effort, as the future Hall of Famer enters his first game in purple and black as the seventh leading scorer in National Lacrosse League history (451) and second to just Dan Dawson (526) among active players. Benesch is also top ten in league history for assists (610) and points (1,061).
