Crystal Palace Baltimore News Release

Baltimore, MD - In order to concentrate his efforts on off-the-field business for Crystal Palace Baltimore, President Pete Medd has stepped down as Co-Head Coach for the 2010 season. Medd, 34, has been co-head coach along with Jim Cherneski, since the club's inaugural season in 2007.

The Palace Baltimore President commented on his decision to take a back seat from the playing action: "While my heart will be on the field with the guys this year, this is a very critical time for the continued development and progress for our club off the field. This is an important time for us and I made the decision that my talents would be best served on the business side of things at this time. We have put together an exciting, attacking team for this year and Jim will have them ready to go for this very challenging league. "

Medd will remain involved on the technical side with player personnel decisions, match analysis, and youth soccer initiatives.

He also served as head coach of Essex Community College and led the team to a National Top 5 Ranking and was two time East Region Coach of the Year.
