Crystal Palace Baltimore News Release
Baltimore, MD - Crystal Palace Baltimore will hold its third, annual player combine/tryouts from Tuesday February 3 through Thursday February 5, 2009 to identify top-class players to be a part of their 2009 team.
"We're expecting to repeat the successes of the past two years' combines, through which we've signed several key players: Shintaro Harada, Bryan Harkin, Larry Mark and Alex Ughiovhe from the '07 tryouts and then Paul Robson and David Feazell in '08." said Pete Medd, President and Co-Manager. "We're not bringing a lot of players back from last season's squad so this is an excellent opportunity for players to have a shot at joining a top-notch club with a direct link to English soccer."
Sporting Director and Co-Manager, Jim Cherneski added: "As in previous years, we're expecting local players as well as prospects from across the United States and from around the world to travel to Baltimore to put their talents on display."
The deadline for applications to be received by the club is January 20, 2009. The squad is expected to be finalized and commence full, pre-season training by March 1, 2009. All the details, including the application form, can be found on the Palace website: http://www.crystalpalaceusa.com/2009Combine.php
