
Owsiak Named Rookie of the Month

BROOKLYN, New York - The Brooklyn Aviators, proud second year member of the Federal Hockey League, are pleased to announce that forward Andrew Owsiak has been named the FHL's Rookie of the Month for his play during December.
He is the first Aviator this season to win a FHL monthly award.
The native of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan led Brooklyn with nine goals and 13 points in 10 games played this past month, while also chipping in with four assists. On Dec. 31, against the Cape Cod Bluefins, Owsiak had a hat trick - his second of the year - in the first period and added a helper to have his first four point performance of the season.
Owsiak, who was just recently named the club's assistant captain, leads the Aviators in goals (15), assists (16) and points (31) in 25 games played this season.
