North Iowa Outlaws News Release
Nothing new on the homefront, with the weekend off, things have been pretty quiet but business is about to pick up as North Iowa heads to Fargo for another match-up with the Jets. Coming off of two shutout performances from Robby Moss, the Outlaws will look to do it again in their final road game before heading back to the North Iowa Ice Arena for the 6 game series finale next weekend.
In this issue, we get you caught up on the progress of a few former Outlaws, who earned league honors at the Collegiate level and remind your of the Good Time coming up on Homecoming Night, November 23rd, when the Outlaws face the Jets.
North Iowa Outlaws Hockey: Nothin' But a Good Time!
Homecoming: Nov. 23rd
The North Iowa Outlaws have put a new twist on he high school tradition of Homecoming. The Outlaws have been away from the North Iowa Ice Arena for three weeks, it will be four when they return on November, 23rd to host the Fargo Moorhead Jets and the Outlaws will be celebrating Homecoming at the North Iowa Ice Arena.
To Celebrate the festivities, the Outlaws will be wearing special, one-of-a-kind Jersey's which will be auctioned off in a live auction after the game. The winner will receive their picture taken in front of the Outlaws Saloon inflatable with their player, and receive a copy of it at a following game, and take the jersey right off the players back.

In addition, the Best Western Holiday Lodge, the game night sponsor for Nov. 23rd, is sponsoring a "Best Western" Contest for the ladies, and three lucky ladies will be crowned Homecoming Queen and court. The winners will all receive great prizes from the Best Western and Bennigans.
Also, 500 fans will receive "Homecoming Hankies", sponsored by the Best Western and Veritas Merchandise Solutions. The "Hankies" will be thrown into the stands during the first period and intermission.
Thanks to the Best Western Holiday Lodge in Clear Lake for their support, and to Veritas Merchandise & Clothing Solutions, who print up all the t-shirts that are thrown into the stands during games.
Clark Earns Alantic Hockey Honors
HAVERHILL, Mass. - Army forward Owen Meyer was named the Player of the Week and goalie Jay Clark earned Rookie of the Week honors when the Atlantic Hockey Association released its weekly awards.
Meyer, a sophomore from Dundee, Ill., racked up four goals over the weekend, including his first collegiate hat trick, to help the Black Knights to a weekend sweep of American International. Clark, a freshman from Baudette, Minn., made the most of his first conference start, turning away 23 shots in a 7-1 win against AIC on Saturday.
This marks the first conference honor for both players and Army hockey this season. Meyer began his weekend with a goal Friday in a 4-3 win in Springfield, Mass., and then picked up his hat trick Saturday at Tate Rink when he scored three goals in the first two periods. Meyer's three-goal performance was the first by an Army player since Chris Casey accomplished the feat on March 6, 2004. Clark did the rest from there, posting seven saves in the first period, 12 in the second and four in the final period for his first collegiate win and Army's first series sweep of the season.
Army is now 4-4-0 overall and 4-1-0 in Atlantic Hockey competition. The Black Knights are in second-place in the conference standings with eight points, one behind league-leader Bentley who visits Tate Rink for a series this weekend. Bentley is 4-2-1 overall and has nine points. Games Friday and Saturday will begin at 7:05 p.m.
Mcleod Doing Well at AIC
Freshman Steve McLeod tallied his first collegiate goal with eight minutes showing on the clock in the third-period to get the Jackets' on the board. McLeod finished a barrage of Yellow Jacket shot attempts from right in front of the net, beating former Outlaw teammate Jay Clark. Army won the game 7-1.
Alex Maginnis Named MCHA Freshman of the Week
Crookston, Minn.) - University of Minnesota, Crookston Men's Hockey player Alex Maginnis (Fr., Fwd., Mason City, Iowa) has been named Freshman of the Week by the Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association (MCHA). Maginnis scored three goals and added an assist for four points this past weekend at defending league champion Milwaukee School of Engineering. Two of his goals were of the power play variety. Maginnis leads the Golden Eagles with five goals and one assist for six points.
U of M, Crookston is 0-4-0 overall and 0-2-0 in the MCHA. They return to action this Friday and Saturday when they travel to Marian College for two MCHA games.
