North Iowa Outlaws News Release
Mason City (IA) Hockey is widely regarded as one of the best sports to watch in person and it's hard to find an argument to that from anyone who has attended a North Iowa Outlaws game in person. However, much like toppings enhance the flavor of a pizza, so do promotions with hockey and with that in mind the Outlaws have made it a top priority to ensure that every home date in 2008-2009 is centered on a certain theme.
Throughout this week, the North Iowa Outlaws will be presenting their 2008-2009 theme-night schedule.
"We are very excited about the theme-nights we have planned throughout the season as our objective is to give fans a great product both on and off the ice" noted general manager Steve Strasheim. "The Outlaws organization not only wants to be a leader in the standings, but also in fan entertainment.
A sampling of the theme-nights includes a handful of post-game skates and opportunities for fans to shoot on the Outlaws' goaltenders after a game. A night to honor Teachers, a 1980s celebration and a Miss Outlaws Pageant.
"I remember from all the times I came down with the team from Fargo how loud and loyal the fan base is here and these theme-nights will just add to all that energy" said Scott Montesano, the team's Director of Communications. "The promotions give fans another reason to come out to the arena every night."
