CARSON, CALIFORNIA - Saturday, August 4, 2007 - Bud Light MVP/midfielder Brian Langtry had three goals and five points to lead the Denver Outlaws past the Los Angeles Riptide, 11-10, before a crowd of 8,162 at INVESCO Field at Mile High on Saturday afternoon. Attackman Terry Riordan had five goals and attackman Spencer Ford had six points - including five assists - for the Riptide, who lost for the first time in seven games and missed out on a chance to clinch their first-ever Western Conference title.
The Riptide (8-3), who secured a spot in the NB ZIP MLL Championship Weekend with a victory over the San Francisco Dragons on July 28, can win the Western Conference title with a victory over the Chicago Machine at The Home Depot Center on Saturday, August 11. The ZIP MLL Championship Weekend is set for August 25-26 in Rochester, NY.
