Outlaws Exhibition Schedule Announced

North Iowa Outlaws News Release
The North Iowa Outlaws will arrive in a few days to begin their journey towards the Robertson Cup. Practices begin in Albert Lea, MN on September 4th and continue until ice is available at the North Iowa Ice Arena in mid-September. The Outlaws have three exhibition games scheduled, beginning September 10th @ 2:00 pm against the Hampton Road Junior Whalers Jr. B team. This game is free to the public and will be played at the Albert Lea City Arena in Albert Lea, MN. For directions to the arena log onto rinkfinder.com.
The Outlaws exhibition schedule continues the following weekend with a trip to Bismarck, ND for two games against the Bismarck Bobcats. The Bobcats, who enter their 10th season of existence, will host the Outlaws on Friday September 14, and Saturday September 15th, with both games starting at 7:05pm. Tickets are available by calling the Bobcats Box Office at: 701-222-3300 or at the door.
Following the games against Bismarck, the Outlaws will return home and continue to prepare for their season opener, which will take place at the North American Hockey League's Showcase Tournament in Blaine, MN. The Showcase is the official kick-off to the NAHL schedule with the Outlaws playing four games in four days. The Outlaws open the showcase with the Marquette Rangers at 4:15 pm on Wednesday September 19th. Thursday North Iowa will play the Traverse City North Stars at 1:15 pm. Friday theythey face the National Runner-ups from Mahoning Valley at 3:15 pm, and finish the weekend with the Alpena Ice Diggers at 7:15 pm on Saturday. All games are played at the Schwan's Super Rink in Blaine, MN.
In addition, the Outlaws will play the Dubuque Thunderbirds of the Central States Hockey League on Friday October 12th, in Dubuque. The game comes two weeks into the regular season, during an off week for both teams. The game will be played at the Five Flags Center in Dubuque, IA. The North Iowa Outlaws open their home schedule on September 28th, when they host the Kenai River Brown Bears at 7:30 pm at the North Iowa Ice Arena.
