Outlaws announce schedule

December 13, 2006 - United Indoor Football Association (UIF)
Billings Outlaws News Release

Christmas comes early for Billings and the Billings Outlaws. With the timely release of the United Indoor Football Leagues (UIF) 2007 Regular Season Schedule.

After winning the 2006 Indoor Bowl Championship last July, Billings decided to move to the more stable (and challenging) UIF for the 2007 season and beyond. This decision could not be playing out any better! A few new rivals (Ft Collins leads the way) and the chance to meet and play old rivals like St Louis and Omaha.

With the new league, the Outlaws will get a chance to continue to prove they are the best team in indoor football. The first home game is scheduled against the 2006 UIF Champions Sioux Falls Storm. This is sure to be an early season Championship quality game. Fans close to Indoor Football, know the Massey rating system, Massey already has this ranked as the game of the year as Billings and Sioux Falls are currently sharing the #1 ranking in the UIF.

There were a lot of questions at the time surrounding the move, how would it affect our existing rivalries with the Northwest Teams of Casper, Rapid City and Tri Cities. As of this release the NIFL is yet to release their schedule or even announce who will be playing in the struggling NIFL, it is known that Tri Cities has moved to Arena -2, and Rapid City Flying Aces have gone public saying they won't play in the NIFL and there is question as to whether they will play at all. Leaving only Casper returning to the NIFL from the Northwest Division and one of only a few teams returning league wide.

With the move to the UIF Fans can expect consistent tough and challenging games, no more 100 to 0 blow outs. "This is a much tougher league, I am already feeling the pressure to up our game" noted returning head Coach Heron O'Neal. "We had an awesome group of guys last year and did what we set out to do; now we just need to keep improving on and off the field and build that football dynasty everyone is always talking about".

Struggling with what to get that special person for Christmas... A season Ticket Package to take in all the action is a great choice! 8,000 Fans participated in the Championship Game; many are lining up to buy their season tickets. "With preseason ticket sales double what they were last year at this time, we are expecting the lower arena to sell out before the season even gets under way" Stated GM Dan Austin. "There are still GREAT Seats available, but I would not wait to long. Just call The Outlaws Office at 406-254-6287 and ask for our Ticket Manager Bethany Walter, she will help you put together a great package".

Businesses around town are figuring out the value of advertising and working with the Billings Outlaws. What better bonus for a hard working staff then a season ticket package? 2007 Sponsorship Opportunities are still available; Contact our Director of Communications Bill Callahan at 1-406-670-1542 to discuss how you can be a part of the hard hitting action!
