OurSports Central announces AFL Players of the Week

San Jose SaberCats wide receiver Cleannord Saintil, Colorado Crush defensive back Rashad Floyd and Grand Rapids Rampage defensive back Chris Martin were named the OurSports Central Arena Football League Offensive, Defensive and Special Teams Players of the Week, respectively, for week sixteen of the AFL season.

Saintil hauled in 12 receptions for 107 yards and four touchdowns in the SaberCats' 73-70 victory over the Tampa Bay Storm.

Floyd had one interception returned 38 yards for a touchdown, nine tackles, one fumble recovery and two pass breakups in the Crush's 62-55 victory over the Arizona Rattlers.

Martin returned eight kicks for 189 yards, two of them 57-yarderss each for touchdowns, in the Rampage's 63-60 victory over the Columbus Destroyers.

Other players considered for Offensive honors were Georgia QB Chris Greisen, Philadelphia QB Matt D'Orazio, Columbus QB Matt Nagy, Tampa Bay QB Brett Dietz, and Tampa Bay WR Hank Edwards.

Others considered for Defensive award were Cleveland DL Karon Riley, Philadelphia DL Gabe Nyenhuis, San Jose DB Clevan Thomas, and Columbus DL Michael Landry.

Other players considered for Special Team honors included Orlando's Dan Frantz (7-7 on extra points and three touchbacks on kickoffs), Los Angeles Charles Fredrickson (10-10 on extra points and a 26-yard field goal), Dallas Remy Hamilton (7-7 on extra points and a 17-yard field goal), Tampa Bay's Seth Marler (10-10 on extra points), and San Jose kicker A.J. Haglund (10-10 on extra points).
