Erie Otters News Release
In less than a month of operation the newly redesigned Erie Otters web site, www.ottershockey.com, has attracted significant interest. From positive reviews on industry web sites to glowing comments from general visitors, www.ottershockey.com has received two thumbs up from the World Wide Web.
Two respected industry web sites have already featured the new design, created by newline Creations (www.thenewline.com).
The Weekly Standards (www.weeklystandards.com) commented in their Featured Site Review posted on October 6, 2004 that the new design "doesn't break any new ground as far as site structure goes . . . the basic structure allows for greater detail for all the little things . . . This site chose to get the details right and that's where it's truly innovative."
In September the new Otters web site design was featured on www.cssvault.com.
In addition to the reviews, the Otters new design has attracted a large number of visitors. Since the launch on September 13th the site has attracted 11,582 unique visitors while accumulating a total of 21,469 visitors and 108,810 page views. The most popular pages have been the individual player pages, which have been visited a total of 23,818 times.
The Otters web site is continuing to evolve. A new shopping area with the complete line of 2004-2005 Otters merchandise is under construction and will be launched in the very near future.
The Otters (2-1) return to action this Friday and Saturday when the Owen Sound Attack (4-2) come to the Tullio Arena for a pair of 7:30 p.m. contests. Friday Rocket 101 sponsors the game with the first 1,000 fans receiving a free Rocket 101/Erie Otters decal. Quick Photo presents Saturday's game with the first 500 children (12 and under) receiving a free Otters player photo. Tickets for the games are on sale now at all Erie-area TicketMaster locations as well as the Erie Civic Center Box Office.
