Otters step aside for Golden Knights

The Erie Otters of the Ontario Hockey League announced today that they have agreed to tape delay their game Friday night in Sarnia against the Sting in order to allow live coverage of the Gannon Golden Knights PSAC Semifinal Basketball Game on FOX Sports Radio AM 1330 The FAN.

The Otters game will be available live on-line by visiting www.ottershockey.com (presented by the James H. Cross Company) beginning with the pre-game show at 7:15 p.m. The game can also be heard tape delayed in its entirety immediately following the Golden Knights game on FOX Sports Radio AM 1330 The FAN. "This was an easy decision for us, considering the importance of the Gannon game against Cheyney," said Otters Director of Media Relations Mark Jeanneret. "We have always been a strong supporter of local athletics and wish the Golden Knights all the best in their pursuit of a championship."

"Gannon University, the basketball program, and its fans are extremely appreciative to the Erie Otters for their help in getting our Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Final Four game on FOX Sports Radio AM 1330 The FAN live Friday night," said Dan Teliski, Gannon's Director of Athletic Media Relations "This is an exciting time for our fans and alumni as our basketball team continues its quest for the PSAC title. We appreciate the Otters offer to tape delay their Friday night game, so our fans can listen to our playoff basketball game live. It's a great gesture and Gannon is thankful for the offer."

Saturday afternoon the Otters travel to Kitchener to meet the Rangers at 2 p.m. The game can be heard live on FOX Sports Radio AM 1330 The FAN and on-line at www.ottershockey.com (presented by the James H. Cross Company) beginning with the pre-game show at 1:45 p.m. The next Otters home games take place Saturday, March 14th and Sunday, March 15th. Saturday, March 14th it's the Otters and the Kitchener Rangers in a 7 p.m. start at the Tullio Arena. All fans into the game will receive a free menu item courtesy of Taco Bell. Sunday, March 15th it's the Otters and the Guelph Storm in a special 4:30 p.m. start. It's Fan Appreciation Day presented by Erie Business Center and Green Prosthetics as the Otters celebrate St. Patrick's Day by wearing green jerseys and the two teams will compete on green ice!
