With the 2010 quickly approaching, manager Ed Ott is assembling a roster of talent that can return the league trophy to Sussex.

In 2004, OF Caleb Stewart was drafted out of the University of Kentucky by the New York Mets. Within four years, Stewart had climbed the organizational ladder to the Mets AAA affiliate in New Orleans. He spent 20 games at the AAA level before returning to the Mets AA affiliate in Binghamton. While in Binghamton, during the 2008 season, Stewart, hit .279 with 29 doubles and 57 runs scored. Stewart remained in Binghamton during the 2009 season where he finished with a .365 on base percentage.

The Skyhawks have also added INF Joe Persichina to the roster. Persichina spent the 2009 season in the Chicago White Sox system. He started the season with the White Sox South Atlantic League team in Kannapolis (NC) and after 26 games he moved up to the Carolina League (Winston Salem).

The Skyhawks have also added the following players to their 2010 roster:

Zack Smithlin - Smithlin spent the last five seasons in Montclair with the Jackals. He averaged .283 and 28 stolen bases. Smithlin also spent time in the Cardinals organization and played for the New Jersey Cardinals.

Andy Schon - Schon spent the 2009 season with the Alexandria Aces. In 2009 he complied a 8-3 record with a 3.45 ERA and threw 2 complete games

Jordan Towns - Towns played for the Angels affiliate in Rancho Cucamonga. He recorded 9 strikeouts in 11.1 innings pitched

Donald Jordat - A 38th round draft pick by the Milwaukee Brewers in 2004 out of high school. However, Jordat opted to attend Miami Dade Community College. In 2008 he was 6-0 with 47 innings pitched, allowing only 27 hits while striking out 55 batters and walking 29. Jordat was clocked between 93-94 mph in 2008.
