Oswalt Named Copperheads Team Photographer

Katy, Texas (February, 22nd 2006) - The Katy Copperheads of the National Indoor Football League has named J. Ronald Oswalt as team photographer. Oswalt has many years of sports photography experience and has shot photos at many different major sporting events including the Liberty Bowl, Houston Bowl, and the Alamo Bowl just to name a few. He has also shot photos at major rodeo events and games in the East Coast Hockey League.

A University of Southern Mississippi graduate, he has lived in the greater Houston area over the last six years. He has shot for several Mississippi newspapers including the Richton Dispatch, Rankin County News, Laurel Leader-Call and many others.

Upon his arrival in Texas he has served as a sports writer for the 1960 sun and Tomball Potpourri both are Houston Community Newspapers which are a part of Westward Communications. His photos have also been featured on several sports websites over the last few years.

Oswalt is very active in the community serving on the Houston Livestock and Rodeo Committee and the Booster Club for Texas Christian School. He founded the Houston 6-Man Bowl which pits Texas football teams in a yearly finale. The bowl will be in year three in 2006.

He is supported by his wife Machel and his two boys Aubrey 13, and Hayden 5, with all family members looking forward to the Inaugural Copperheads football season.
