Mississauga Power News Release
(OSHAWA, ON) Durham's Team the Oshawa Power are excited and proud to announce a partnership with the Dairy Farmers of Canada and their Recharge with Milk campaign.
"We are very pleased to have this partnership with the Dairy Farmers of Canada," said Gary Durrant, President of Basketball Operations. "They have been a staple in our community for a very long time and we're happy to have them on board."
After every game, Oshawa Power players treat the fans with an interactive autograph session. The session gives the fans and especially children the opportunity to get up close to the players after the game. This session will now be called the Recharge with Milk autograph session and the Power players will be provided drinks of chilled chocolate milk.
"It's the perfect match because both organizations are about living a healthy lifestyle, wellness, nutrition as well as community, while encouraging and promoting physical activity for our youth," adds Durrant.
At remaining Oshawa Power home games you will see Recharge with Milk banners and Jumbotron messages displaying the slogan.
Next game for the Power is on Thursday February 9 vs. the Moncton Miracles at the GM Centre. Game time is 7:30 p.m. The theme of the night is a tribute to Black History Month and there will be special guests and half-time performances to celebrate.
