OSC Weekly Ratings Wrapup

October 9, 2019 - Major League Soccer (MLS)
WNBA Performs better on ESPN Tuesday than ABC Sunday
In an unsurprising outcome, Game 3 of the WNBA finals on ABC Sunday, going against the NFL, drew fewer viewers than Game 3 on ESPN Tuesday night. While it was down around 75,000 viewers on ABC from ESPN, the 18-49 demo rating was cut in half. As much as the WNBA wants to have a playoff game on ABC, it might not be worth it if it means going up against the NFL.
In another comparison, the Major League Soccer game airing at the same time on ESPN Sunday drew considerably fewer overall viewers (425k to 226k), but the MLS match performed better in the key demo category, .09 to .07.
