Orlando's Greg White Named ADT Defensive Player Of The Year

NEW YORK - Orlando Predators DL GREG WHITE (6-3, 285, Minnesota) was selected as the 2007 ADT Defensive Player of the Year as voted by AFL head coaches, fans, players and the Arena Football League Writers Association (AFLWA), the League announced today.

White, who was also named AFL Lineman of the Year and earned All-Arena First Team honors, becomes only the second player in AFL history voted as both the Lineman of the Year and ADT Defensive Player of the Year in the same season (Silas Demary - Los Angeles, 2005).

While appearing in only 14 games this season, White set AFL single-season records in sacks (15.0) and tackles for loss (17.0) while leading the League in forced fumbles with six. He also added 33.5 tackles, two fumble recoveries, two passes defensed, and two field goal blocks.

Other candidates included: Chicago DB JEREMY UNERTL, Nashville DB AHMAD HAWKINS, Philadelphia DB EDDIE MOTEN, and San Jose DB CLEVAN THOMAS.
