ORLANDO - Over the past 20 seasons the Orlando Predators have been one of the most successful franchise's in the history of the Arena Football League. Starting next week, the organization will be aggressively pursuing the best talent the AFL has to offer for 2012.

Following a league-record 19-straight trips to the playoffs, the Preds enter the start of free agency looking to build a championship-caliber team under the guidance of new head coach Bret Munsey, who knows what it takes to win.

"We are looking for guys that love to play the game of arena football," Munsey said. "Guys that are looking to come together with the ultimate goal of winning a championship, because that's what this franchise is all about."

The Preds are also looking for players who appreciate the benefits that come along with playing arena football in Central Florida. Over the years, Orlando has been the most sought-after destination for future hall of famers and record-setting players.

The Preds, who played in front of a league-leading audience last season at the brand new Amway Center, provides its players with the best housing and outdoor practice facilities throughout the league.

In 2011, the Preds appeared on NFL Network five times while all home games were shown live on Bright House Sports Network. Additionally, home and away games were broadcast locally on 740 AM and nationally at 740TheGame.com.

"I've been coaching in this league a long time and I feel that Orlando by far offers the best incentives to its players," Munsey said.

In 2008, Munsey led the Philadelphia Soul to its first championship. The former Preds player and assistant coach under Jay Gruden is looking for the type of talent that can help get Orlando back to the title game for the first time since 2006.

To make that happen, Munsey says the focus this offseason is to build upon a foundation that's helped the Preds make repeat appearances in the postseason over the years. He's confident that by bringing in the proper pieces through free agency that the franchise can once again ascend to the next level.
