ORLANDO - September 10, 2014 - Orlando City Soccer Club and its Foundation hosted the annual Awards Gala Sunday night at the Rosen Plaza Hotel. The event, the single largest fundraiser for the Foundation, generated a record $60,000+ from ticket sales, sponsorship, donations, silent auctions and live auctions throughout the evening.

Hosted by OCSC Ambassadors and well-known radio & podcast personalities Tom Vann and Daniel Dennis, the Awards Gala is a celebration of Purple and Gold, recognizing standouts within the team and organization for outstanding contributions on and off the field.

Lions' midfielder Kevin Molino stole the show on Sunday night, taking home two Player of the Year honors as voted on by both fans and teammates, and the Top Goal Scorer award. Molino set a USL PRO regular season record for goals scored with 20 in the 2014 campaign while also leading the league in assists.

Goalkeeper Miguel Gallardo received the Clubman Award for his work as team ambassador within the community, and for his leadership on the field. Tyler Turner received Rookie of the Year honors for his outstanding play this season. The Community Award went to Luke Boden for his frequent appearances with schools and youth groups, as well as his work with children fighting cancer.

In an emotional conclusion to the awards, President Phil Rawlins presented Coach Adrian Heath with the President's Award for his leadership and success with the squad during its final season in USL PRO, and for all his contributions throughout his illustrious tenure with the club to date.

"The 2014 Awards Gala was the biggest and best one in our history," said Orlando City Community Director Kay Rawlins. "Turnout was incredibly high, and we are very grateful for the response and generosity of all who attended. Their contributions allow us to continue our efforts within the community of Parramore and throughout Orlando."

The Foundation's next event is the Celebrity Golf Tournament on September 29, where supporters can swap their cleats for clubs to join the Orlando City players and local celebrities at the beautiful Grand Cypress Golf Club.
