TUKWILA, Wash. (May 1, 2015) - Orange County Blues FC fell 2-1 Friday night to Seattle Sounders FC 2 at Starfire Sports Complex in Tukwila, Wash.

The Blues got on the board first with a goal by forward Christofer Ramirez in the 23rd minute. Denzel Slager put on some fancy moves to get past his man, and crossed into the box. Ramirez played it off a deflection perfectly to head it past S2 goalkeeper Charlie Lyon. S2 found their equalizer in the 66th minute by Sam Garza, whose shot rebounded down off the crossbar and past the goal line. S2 scored the game winner in the 83rd minute, when Brenton Griffiths fouled a charging Oalex Anderson in the box to give the home side a penalty kick. Pablo Rossi finished the PK, and the S2 defense held the Blues off the scoresheet to seal their victory. .

Both teams struggled in the early going, unable to finish many of their scoring chances. Once up, the Blues continued to press S2's goal, but the home side's backline held firm. S2 got very close to equalizing in the 32nd minute when forward Darwin Jones had a one on one break against Blues goalkeeper Pepe Miranda. One of the league leaders in shutouts and goals against average, Miranda made a huge save to keep S2 from taking an early lead.
