Springfield/Ozark Mountain Ducks News Release
Opening game night is Thursday, May 8th at 7:15 p.m., here at Price Cutter Park. Join the Ducks for a night of fireworks as they take on the Amarillo Dillas. One dollar from ticket purchase goes to the Dave Thomas Foundation for adoption.
Saturday, May 10th is Fan Fest, starting at 3 p.m. At this time, fans will be able to meet the players, take pictures, and much more! Saturday night's game is Michelob Light/US97 night. There will be a CAP Giveaway for adults 21+.
Sunday, May 11th is My Country 100.5 Roses for Mom/Ladies Day. Moms will receive a rose for Mother's Day. Admission is only $2 for ladies.

Tryouts April 28
The Springfield/Ozark Mountain Ducks are holding baseball tryouts on April 28, 2003 at Price Cutter Park in Ozark, MO., beginning at 9 AM. Come prepared and ready for a full day of baseball! Bring your baseball glove and wear you hat to practice and play for the Ducks. There are positions open that the team will be looking to fill for the season. So come ready to play ball!
Ducks Sign Gouzd
The Springfield/Ozark Mountain Ducks have signed right-handed pitcher John Gouzd to the 2003 season. Gouzd is a 6'3", 215 lbs., 22 year-old from West Virginia. While at James Madison University, Gouzd pitched a total of 87 innings, he has started 15 games and had 86 strike outs.
For the 2002 season, John Gouzd, has a 7-4 record with a 3.92 ERA, 60 Ks and allowed only 14 walks in 78 IP.
