Open Tryouts scheduled for the NIFL 2006 Katy Copperheads

Katy, TX (November 22, 2005) -The Katy Copperheads will be holding open player tryouts for the inaugural 2006 season on Saturday, December 17th. Registration will begin at 8:00AM with the tryout beginning soon there after. There will be a cash only registration fee of $35.00. All participants will receive an official NIFL 2006 Katy Copperheads tryout t-shirt. You must be 19 years or older to tryout.
Player will be tested & evaluated on the following:
- 40yd dash
- 15yd Pro shuttle
- Standing broad jump
- Bench press (OL/DL/LB reps 225lb) (WR/DB/RB reps 185lb)
- Footwork & agility drills
- 1 on 1 drills
- Team (5 on 5)
When: Saturday, December 17th, 2005
Time: Registration begins at 8:00AM.
Location: Rhodes Stadium, 1733 Katy Fort Bend Road, Katy, TX 77493 (Players will need to bring appropriate shoes and clothing for outdoors and the Field Turf surface.)
-The Copperheads are looking to fill several position for the up coming 2006 inaugural season. Coach Blake is very excited about the extremely large talent pool the Katy & Greater Houston Area has to offer. "I hope to fill my roster with as many local players as possible."
