Open Tryout for 2009 Wild Set for October 12

The Wichita Wild and Head Coach Ken Matous would like to announce that the first open tryout for the 2009 team will take place on Sunday, October 12. The tryout will take place at Sluggers, located at 1441 N. Ridge Road in Wichita. Registration will begin at 8:00 AM with the tryout starting at 8:30.
Those wanting to tryout can pre-register by calling the Wild office at 316-440-5044. Players can also register on October 12 at Sluggers. Registration is $40 and will only be accepted by cash or money order.
Players will be evaluated based on 40-yard dash, 20-yard shuttle, vertical jump, agility, and various position specific drills. Those trying out are asked to wear shorts and t-shirt as no pads or helmets will be used during the auditions. Turf shoes are also required of all players trying out.
Players are encouraged to call the Wild office at 316-440-5044 for more information. Players needing hotel accommodations are also encouraged to call the Wild office for recommendations.
