(Omaha) - The Omaha Vipers today signed veteran indoor soccer player, Ricardinho - a 6'0" midfielder from Sao Paulo, Brazil. Ricardinho, real name Ricardo Luiz Pozzi Rodrigues is a deep-lying playmaker known for his accurate passing and technique. In 2008-09 (playing for the Philadelphia KIXX): Scored 13 goals and lead the team with 22 assists for 49 points. Ricardinho had one of his better games 2/7/09 vs. Massachusetts Twisters when he scored 4 goals and notched 2 assists for 11 points. Named NISL Player of the Week twice on 2/9/09 and 3/2/09. Named to All-NISL 1st team...

Career: Won MISL Title with current KiXX teammate Angel Rivillo in 2005 with the Milwaukee Wave ... scored 24 points in 28 games for the 2006-07 Expansion Detroit Ignition who lost to the KiXX in the MISL Championship. Set career highs with the Detroit Ignition scoring 20 goals and 15 assists for 58 points in 2007-08.

Personal: Married to wife Adriana, son's name is Lucas ... Lists favorite soccer moment as winning the 2005 MISL Championship with Milwaukee ... Favorite team is Corinthians, favorite player Pelé...

The Omaha Vipers are the MISL's newest franchise and play all home games at the Omaha Civic Auditorium. Home opener is Sunday, November 21st at 3:05pm against the Kansas City Comets.
