Omaha Nighthawks News Release
OMAHA, NE - May 25, 2011 - The Nighthawks signed a stadium lease with Metropolitan Entertainment & Convention Authority (MECA) to play in the newly built TD Ameritrade Park Omaha in downtown Omaha, Neb.
"Our job is to provide Omaha with a team it can be proud of. The first step towards this goal is having a great stadium to call home, which we have in TD Ameritrade Park Omaha," said Joe Moglia, President and Head Coach of the Nighthawks.
TD Ameritrade Park Omaha, which can seat 24,000 people, is the newest and most-advanced stadium used by a UFL team. In addition to the Nighthawks, the stadium is the proud home of the NCAA's College World Series, the Creighton Bluejays baseball team, and the Red Sky Music Festival.
"The addition of professional football brings a whole new element to the sports entertainment offered on the TD Ameritrade Park Omaha/Qwest Center Omaha Campus," commented Roger Dixon, President and CEO of MECA. "We look forward to welcoming Nighthawks fans to the stadium this fall."
Ticket prices for the Nighthawks' 2011 season start as low as fifteen dollars for individual games and sixty dollars for the entire season. The Nighthawks will be releasing the 2011 schedule in the coming weeks. For more information visit, [2]http://www.ufl-football.com/omaha-nighthawks.
