Omaha Nighthawks News Release

OMAHA, NE - Tuesday, September 21, 2010 - History will be made on Friday night in Nebraska when the Omaha Nighthawks of the United Football League debut in front of a passionate home crowd at a sold out Rosenblatt Stadium.

The Nighthawks announced today that all 24,000 tickets for the team's first ever game against the Hartford Colonials (1-0) have been sold more than 72 hours before kickoff at 7pm CDT on Friday, September 24. The game will be the first sellout in United Football League history and will be shown live on HDNet (7pm CDT / 8pm EDT).

"We were assured when we first considered Omaha as an expansion market that there would be an unrivaled passion for our team, but the reaction to the Nighthawks has surpassed all our expectations," said UFL Commissioner MICHAEL HUYGHUE. "The enthusiasm from fans who have bought season tickets in the thousands and the community's support for the Nighthawks is overwhelming. I look forward to witnessing the buzz of excitement when the game kicks off on Friday night."

The leap from the Omaha franchise announcement to the prospect of a capacity crowd converging on Rosenblatt Stadium has been nothing short of remarkable. The Nighthawks came into existence on April 15, 2010 when JEFF JAGODZINSKI was named as head coach and the football fans of Omaha first learned that a UFL team would be playing in the city this fall. Only 160 days later, the Nighthawks have become a major focus on the Nebraska sporting landscape.

"The fans here in Omaha have been incredible and we thank them for making Friday's first-ever Nighthawks game a sellout," said Nighthawks Director of Business Operations DON IGO. "The game would have been a special occasion anyway, but with a packed house it will truly be an evening to remember."

Having sold out Rosenblatt Stadium, which offers limited parking, the Nighthawks are urging fans to car pool or take advantage of public transport and game-specific shuttle services to avoid traffic and parking congestion. Further details of the following available shuttle services will be posted at [1]www.UFL-Football.com/omaha-nighthawks.
