Omaha Nighthawks Announce Third Sell Out
October 27, 2010 - United Football League (UFL 1)
Omaha Nighthawks News Release
OMAHA, NE - Wednesday, October 27 - For the third straight home game, the Omaha Nighthawks will play in front of a sold out Rosenblatt Stadium when the Las Vegas Locomotives come to town this Thursday for a 7pm showdown between the top two teams in the United Football League.
The clash will air live on HDNet with KENNY RICE and PAUL MAGUIRE calling the action at 8pm EDT following an HDNet pregame show at 7.30pm EDT.
The Nighthawks, who are the only undefeated UFL team at home, are looking to move to the top of the standings with a win. Through two games, Omaha is averaging a league-best 23,242 fans per game and that fan support helped earn Omaha the UFL Championship Game, which will be played in the city on November 27.
"As we head into the latter half of our 2010 season, I am happy with the progress of our team and the unparalleled enthusiasm of the community," said Head Coach JEFF JAGODZINSKI. "We would not be where we are now without the fans' passion and dedication to this Nighthawks team."
During the tailgate before Thursday's game, local rock band Secret Weapon will perform for the crowd. Secret Weapon is renowned as one of the best 80's cover bands in Omaha, and they also are known for their popular original music.
The Nighthawks only came into existence on April 15, 2010 when Jagodzinski was named as head coach and the football fans of Omaha first learned that a UFL team would be playing in the city this fall, making the ongoing sellout streak an impressive achievement.
Rosenblatt Stadium offers limited parking, so the Nighthawks are urging fans to car pool or take advantage of public transport and game-specific shuttle services to avoid traffic and parking congestion. Further details of the following available shuttle services will be posted at www.UFL-Football.com/omaha-nighthawks.
