OKC Energy FC Power up to Home Opener

OKLAHOMA CITY - OKC Energy FC is gearing up for its first ever home match on Saturday, April 26. The team is using the days before the home opener as an opportunity to celebrate the event at locations across the metro area. A complete list of events is below.

April 21 OKC Energy FC Social Media Day 10 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Field Striping at Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School 7 - 9 p.m.

April 22 OKC Energy FC Open Practice (Edmond Soccer Club) 6 - 8 p.m.

April 23 Drop in at youth practices at locations throughout the city 2 - 6 p.m.

April 24 Downtown Lunch Rally at Leadership Square 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.

April 25 H & 8th Night Market 7 - 9 p.m.

April 21

OKC Energy FC administration, players and coaching staff take over the social media profiles of community members as well as corporate partners. Follow @EnergyFC for details about which companies are taking part in the conversation as well as which players are participating.

That afternoon, the newly sodded Pribil Field on the campus of Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School is slated to be striped for the first Energy FC game. Striping begins at 7 p.m.

April 22

Join Energy FC for an open practice on Field 4 at Edmond Soccer Club from 6 - 8 p.m. Watch as the team prepares for its first-ever home match against defending USL PRO champion Orlando City SC. Fans can pick up the latest in Energy FC gear before the first match. Following the practice, the team takes part in an autograph session on the field. Edmond Soccer Club is located at 1502 W. Danforth Rd.

April 23

Energy FC players surprise school-aged kids by stopping by and participating in soccer practices across the metro area. At 3 p.m., the players are visiting Santa Fe South High School (301 SE Grand Boulevard) to participate in their team's practice. Following that, team members are visiting North OKC Soccer Complex (11711 N. Portland) to practice with an academy team. The Drop in Practice tour ends in Midwest City for a practice at 6 p.m. Follow @EnergyFC on Twitter for more about the drop in locations.

April 24

Celebrate Energy FC Power Up to the home opener with a "˜Lunch Rally' at Leadership Square in downtown Oklahoma City. Wear your OKC Energy FC gear and you could win a free lunch from Energy FC. Meet players and coaches during the event from 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.

April 25

The night before the first ever home match coincides with H & 8th Night Market in downtown Oklahoma City. OKC Energy FC occupies the green space at NW 9th and Hudson from 7 - 9 p.m. Fans can take their best shot at OKC Energy FC's interactive inflatable as well as purchase gear in advance of the team's first home match the next day.
