
OKC Energy FC Adds Villon to Roster

LOS ANGELES - OKC Energy FC has announced the signing of midfielder Abraham Villon, General Manager Jason Hawkins announced today. Villon competed for the United States Men's National Team at the U-15, U-16, U-17 and U-18 levels.
"Abe is a very technically gifted player with good vision and creativity," said Energy FC Assistant Coach Chris Spendlove. "He is hungry to be successful at the professional level, and we are confident he will be a contributor to our organization."
The Garden Grove, Calif., native recently finished his collegiate career at San Diego State. He had six goals and a team- high seven assists in 2013 after sitting out the 2012 season. He started 17 matches in 2011 and earned second team All- Pac 12 honors. Prior to playing at San Diego State, he played at Arizona Western College. The Matadors won the 2010 NJCAA Region I title and Villon led the conference with 15 assists. He was also named to the 2010 NSCAA Junior College All-West Region team.
Villon also played in the USL PDL for the Thunder Bay Chill. He prepped at Garden Grove High School.

Energy FC is led by former Sporting Kansas City goaltender and 2013 MLS Cup champion, Jimmy Nielsen. Nielsen was a two-time MLS All Star, the 2012 MLS Goalkeeper of the Year, and goalkeeper for the 2012 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open championship club.
