Today's Game: The Oklahoma City Dodgers seek the lead in their series against the Round Rock Express at 7:05 p.m. at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark...The series is tied, 1-1, as the Pacific Coast League-leading Dodgers try to avoid back-to-back losses for the first time this month. The Dodgers have a four-game lead ahead of second-place El Paso in the East Division standings.

Last Game: The Oklahoma City Dodgers were limited to three hits in a 1-0 shutout loss to the Round Rock Express Wednesday night at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. Both teams were held without a run and to a combined three hits through five innings. The lone run of the game scored in the top of the sixth following an error, two stolen bases and a sacrifice fly. Four Express pitchers combined to slow the Dodgers' hot offense that had scored at least six runs in six straight games, with starting pitcher Cole Ragans completing the first six innings. Round Rock outhit the Dodgers, 4-3, and neither team collected an extra-base hit.

Today's Probable Pitchers: Robbie Erlin (3-1) is scheduled to make his eighth start and 11th overall appearance...He last pitched June 16 in Reno and piggybacked Michael Grove, covering the fifth through seventh innings. He was credited with the win after allowing three runs and six hits over 3.0 innings with two walks and three strikeouts, as OKC won, 12-8...Erlin threw five scoreless and hitless innings in his previous start June 10 against Salt Lake, retiring 15 of the 18 batters he faced. Erlin retired the first 10 Salt Lake hitters before a walk in the fourth inning. He had retired 14 of 15 batters before back-to-back walks with two outs in the fifth inning, but finished his outing with a strikeout of Torii Hunter Jr. and tallied five strikeouts in the no decision. It was his longest hitless outing since June 27, 2010 with Single-A Hickory...The lefty has also made two appearances for the Los Angeles Dodgers this season. He had his contract selected May 7 and pitched on back-to-back days May 8-9. He was designated for assignment May 11 and outrighted to OKC May 13...Erlin has appeared in 117 games (43 starts) in the Majors, primarily with San Diego, and was selected by Texas in the third round of the 2009 MLB Draft from Scotts Valley High School (Calif.)...Tonight is his third appearance of the season against the Express. In his first two outings, both road starts, Erlin allowed a combined three runs and seven hits in 7.0 innings with three walks and six strikeouts.

Against the Express: 2022: 9-5 2021: 16-13 All-time: 155-126 At OKC: 70-62 The Dodgers and Express play their third series of the season and third in seven weeks, but first of 2022 at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark...The Dodgers entered this series with an 8-4 record in the season series to date, most recently winning a six-game set at Dell Diamond, 4-2, May 31-June 5. The teams exchanged shutouts in their first two games of the last series and the Dodgers posted wins in three of the last four meetings...Through the first 14 games of the season between the teams, Miguel Vargas has a team-best 21 hits and 16 RBI. Pitcher Beau Burrows is 2-0 against the Express with 19 K's...The teams had a wild first series in Round Rock May 10-15, which OKC won, 4-2, winning four straight games in the middle of the series. OKC recorded its largest shutout win in the team's Bricktown era (since 1998) with a 19-0 victory May 12 and Yefry Ramírez became the first OKC Dodger and first pitcher throughout the entire PCL to throw a nine-inning shutout since 2018. Six different players homered in that same game for the first time in the team's Bricktown era. In series finale May 15, OKC lost a game when scoring at least 13 runs for just the fifth time during the team's Bricktown era and for the first time since 2007, as Round Rock won, 14-13...The Dodgers have won five of the last six season series between the teams.

Life At the Top: Despite losses in two of the last three games after winning four consecutive games and nine of their previous 12 games, the Dodgers continue to sit atop the Pacific Coast League with a 42-26 record. They can match their season-high mark at 17 games above .500 with a victory tonight...OKC has not lost consecutive games since losing three in a row May 26-27 at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark (two games on May 26). Entering tonight, the Dodgers have followed up each of their last seven losses with a win in the next game...OKC has won four straight series and is 9-1-3 through their first 13 series of the season, with their lone series loss going to Reno in OKC in late May.

Zeroed Out: Last night the Dodgers suffered their third shutout loss of the season, with two shutouts coming against Round Rock. It was the Dodgers' first 1-0 loss since the 2018 season when the team had four 1-0 losses. They last lost, 1-0, Aug. 29, 2018 at Iowa in a seven-inning game and last took a 1-0 loss in a game of at least nine innings Aug. 14, 2018 at Omaha (10 innings). Wednesday was the team's first 1-0 loss at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark since June 27, 2018 against Nashville (seven innings) and first 1-0 loss in a nine-inning home game since June 2, 2017 against Colorado Springs (10 innings)...The Dodgers tied their season low with three hits and did not record an extra-base for just the second time this season and for the first time since April 14 at El Paso...Between May 7, 2021 and May 25, 2022, the Dodgers went 171 consecutive games without being shutout, but last night marked the third time in the last 25 games they were blanked.

One By One: The Dodgers held the Express to one run for a second straight game for the fewest runs allowed by the Dodgers over a two-game span this season. It was the third time in the last four games Oklahoma City allowed one or no runs, and Thursday's one run allowed was unearned against the pitching staff...The team's previous low run total over a two-game span was three runs April 29-30 against Sugar Land. OKC last allowed two runs or less over two games Aug. 12-13, 2021 against Round Rock (one run)...Last night was the team's second loss when allowing two or fewer runs in a game this season (20-2) and first since a 2-1 defeat at Sacramento April 24.

On the Lamb: Jake Lamb tallied one of the team's three hits Wednesday night and extended his hitting streak to a career-best 13 games. During the hitting streak, Lamb is 20-for-52 (.385) with three homers, seven doubles, 13 RBI and 11 runs scored. It is the longest hitting streak by a Dodgers player this season and the longest active hitting streak in the PCL. No OKC player has had a hitting streak of at least 14 games since Edwin Ríos in August 2019...Lamb leads the Dodgers with 15 home runs (T-3rd, PCL) and 49 RBI (3rd, PCL), while his 65 hits (T-7th, PCL) are second-most on the team and his 38 walks are tied for second-most (T-3rd, PCL). He also ranks among the PCL's top-10 leaders in total bases (6th, 122), OPS (T-6th, .954), OBP (7th, .402), SLG (7th, .552) and extra-base hits (27, T-7th)...Lamb has also reached base in 17 straight games for the longest active on-base streak among OKC players and his second streak of at least 15 games. He has reached base in 27 of his last 28 games and in 42 of his last 44 games. Since April 24 (44 games), Lamb is slashing .329/.442/.622 with 12 homers, 12 doubles, 32 walks, 40 RBI and 34 runs scored.

Gettin' Miggy With It: Miguel Vargas recorded a hit and walk last night and is now 8-for-20 over his last five games with four RBI, five walks and four runs scored following a 3-for-26 slide. Vargas also played his first career game in left field Wednesday, recording three putouts, including a running grab in deep left-center field for the final out of the seventh inning with two runners on base...Vargas leads the PCL with 57 runs scored this season and is tied for first with 39 walks, while his 74 hits are second-most in the league. His 127 total bases are tied for third, his 48 RBI are fourth and his 27 extra-base hits are tied for seventh...In 14 games against Round Rock this season, Vargas is slashing .356/.433/.627 with 21 hits, nine extra-base hits, 11 runs and 16 RBI.

Busch League: Michael Busch drew a walk last night, but his 12-game hitting streak came to an end as he was held 0-for-3. The streak is the second-longest by a Dodgers player this season, and during the streak, Busch went 17-for-52 (.327) with eight extra-base hits and 11 RBI. The 12-game streak also matched his career-long after also hitting safely in 12 straight games earlier this season May 8-20 between Double-A Tulsa (seven games) and OKC (five games).

Clearance at JMart: Jason Martin walked Wednesday but went 0-for-3 to end his season-best 11-game hitting streak - tied for the third-longest by an OKC player this season and his longest since 2018. During the streak, Martin went 16-for-41 (.390) with four home runs, two triples, four doubles and 15 RBI. Wednesday was also just the second time in the last 10 games Martin was held without a RBI, and his stretch of four straight games with an extra-base hit was also snapped...Martin ranks among the league's top six in triples (T-1st, 5), runs (3rd, 45), extra-base hits (5th, 29), SLG (5th, .563), OPS (T-6th, .954), doubles (T-6th, 14) and RBI (T-6th, 46).

No Offense, But...: After the Dodgers scored at least six runs in six straight games (52 R) and in 11 of the last 13 games (97 R), the Dodgers suffered their third shutout loss of the season Wednesday. OKC's season-best stretch of nine consecutive games with a home run also came to an end last night (14 HR)...The Dodgers lead all of Triple-A with 340 walks and a .372 OBP, while their 444 runs scored and .831 OPS are second and their .273 AVG and .459 SLG are third and 630 hits are fourth. The OBP and OPS each rank second overall in the Minors, while their run total is third...OKC tied their season low with three hits Wednesday after collecting 12 or more hits in four of the last six games, batting .317 (70x221) with 52 runs during that stretch. It also snapped a streak of 58 straight games with at least on-extra base hit...The team went 0-for-7 with runners on and did not have a runner advance to third base. They had just three at-bats with a runner in scoring position, matching their fewest AB's in a game this season (May 19 vs. El Paso).

Around the Horn: Drew Avans has reached base in 23 of his last 24 games with a plate appearance. Since May 26 (23 games), Avans is slashing .333/.454/.551 with 26 hits, 21 runs and 14 RBI. He has hit safely in seven of his last nine games (12x35)...Including the current series, eight of the team's last nine series have been 1-1 through two games. OKC is 7-2 in Game 3 when tied through the first two games, with wins in six of the last seven instances...Jake Amaya has now hit safely in five of his last six games, going 9-for-24 with 11 RBI...Starting pitcher Michael Grove turned in the longest scoreless start of his career last night at 5.0 innings. It's also his longest start overall this season...Yesterday was the team's 11th game of at least nine innings to be completed under 2 hours, 30 minutes. That only happened twice in 118 nine-inning games last year. At 2 hours, 19 minutes, last night's game was the third-quickest nine-inning game the team has played this year, although it is the shortest game to go nine full innings.
