OHL Announces Rogers Western Conference Championship Series Schedule

Toronto, ON - The Ontario Hockey League today announced the schedule for the 2014 Rogers Western Conference Championship Series between the Guelph Storm and the Erie Otters beginning next Thursday night April 17, 2014 in Guelph.
The third round series features the OHL's top two teams during the 2013-14 regular season schedule competing for the Wayne Gretzky Trophy. This season the first place Storm earned the Hamilton Spectator Trophy and Midwest Division title with a league-best 52-12-2-2 record for 108 points, just slightly ahead of the Otters who finished with a 52-14-2-0 record for 106 points.
The Storm advanced to the Rogers Western Conference Championship Series with a five-game series win over the London Knights ending with a 5-4 victory on Friday. The Otters advanced following a 4-0 series win over the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds that ended on Tuesday night. The teams will both be competing for their second Wayne Gretzky Trophy in franchise history with the Storm winning in 2004, and the Otters winning back in 2002.
