Ohio Machine Selects Colgate's Peter Baum as No.1 Overall in 2013

PHILADELPHIA, PA - Major League Lacrosse, The premier outdoor lacrosse league held its 13th Collegiate Draft on Friday night at the U.S. Lacrosse Convention in Philadelphia, Pa.

Overall 64 college seniors were selected over eight rounds with Johns Hopkins, Loyola and the University of Maryland being the most represented schools with five selections each.

"The collegiate draft is always a great event to start our season," said MLL Commissioner David Gross. "All the teams greatly improved their rosters with the players they selected."

All players may sign contracts with Major League Lacrosse after their 2013 college season is over.

With the first overall selection in the 2013 MLL Collegiate Draft, the Ohio Machine selected Colgate attackman Peter Baum. Baum led the 2012 NCAA season in many categories including Goals (67), Points (97) and Points per Game (5.39).
