Offseason Update: Lady Andrade, Colombia Win Futsal Championship

ELMA, N.Y. - Four teams took big wins into the Holiday Break, while one club saw a season come to a close and a legend played her final match.

Here's a look at the past week of the Flash offseason:

A Look Back: December 14-20

Hinkle Earns Fourth Cap; U.S. Falls to China (USA)

The U.S. Women's National Team said goodbye to former Flash forward Abby Wambach on Wednesday, as the world's all-time leading goalscorer played in her final match. Flash defender Jaelene Hinkle shared the pitch with Wambach, coming in as a second-half substitute to earn her third-straight and fourth-consecutive cap. Flash midfielder Samantha Mewis and forward Sydney Leroux were available as a substitutes for the match as well.

Dahlkemper Leads Adelaide to Win With Two Goals (Australia)

Defender Abby Dahlkemper started and ended the match with goals, as Adelaide United got back on the winning foot with a dominant 5-1 win over Newcastle. Dahlkemper slotted home the game's first goal at the 15-minute mark before closing the game with a perfectly placed set piece goal on the final play of the match.

Heyman, Canberra Secure Second Place with Win (Australia)

Reigning W-League Champion Canberra United booked its ticket to the postseason this weekend, taking down the Melbourne Victory 3-0 at home. Forward Michelle Heyman continued her goal-scoring spur, netting the team's third goal in the 81st minute, helping United lockup second place in the table.

Saitama's Season Ends in Loss to INAC Kobe (Japan)

AS Elfen Saitama saw its season come to a close on Sunday, falling 2-0 to INAC Kobe Leonessa in the Empress Cup quarterfinal round. Defender Abby Erceg played all 90 minutes of Saitama's final match.

Apollon Ladies Earn Seventh-Straight Shutout (Cyprus)

Midfielder Ashley Nick started and played 67 minutes for Apollon Ladies, as the team continued its tear of the Cypriot Division. Apollon defeated Lefkothea 3-0, the team's seventh clean sheet this season.

Columbia Wins Copa America Futsal Championship; Andrade MVP (Columbia)

The Colombia women's futsal team became Champions on Sunday, winning the 2015 Copa America Women's Futsal tournament with a 4-2 defeat of Uruguay. Lady Andrade was named Best Player of the tournament after helping lead her country to the title.
