Oaks Baseball is Almost Over

With more details to come on many of the promotions throughout the season's final homestand, here is a sneak preview:

Saturday, August 23 vs. Stockton Ports - Schedule Poster Giveaway, 3 Millionth Fan Night #1 and Fresno St. NCAA Championship Baseball Team Night - Well that's a mouthful! Now you can finally take down that laminated pocket schedule on your wall. It was pretty cool, that's for sure, but it's just not "wall" material. In the words of Beyonce, Visalia Community Bank wants to "upgrade ya" to a real poster.

In addition, the 3 Millionth Countdown seems to point a giant, neon red arrow at this ballgame for the big day. You could win one of a multitude of outstanding prizes just for being a huge Oaks fan!

Two promotions in one day would normally be enough, but not on this very special Saturday. For one night only, the Oaks are over-the-top excited to welcome to the ballpark the 2008 NCAA Championship Fresno St. Bulldogs baseball team! Seven (or more) Fresno St. champions will be in attendance to throw out the first pitch, sign autographs, and enjoy a night of Oaks baseball!

Sunday, August 24 vs. Stockton Ports - Hispanic Heritage Night - Mexican food, dancers, and other Hispanic flair will all be out for this Sunday evening adventure at the park! With various vendors, music, entertainment, and HALF PRICE Bud and Bud Light, it's a can't miss night for everyone. Univision will be on hand to promote and cover the event, so scream loud enough and you might get on TV!

Wednesday, August 27 vs. Bakersfield Blaze - Second Annual Wing Fest - The first Wingfest (2007) was a smashing success, but the Oaks are well-aware that it could be much, much bigger. That's the goal for 2008 -- a wings bonanza! The best wingeries square off in another battle for wing supremacy. May the best man wing...er...win.

Thursday, August 28 vs. Bakersfield Blaze - Thirstiest Thursday - Assuming the Oaks make the playoffs (knock on wood), this won't be the season's final weekend. But just in case it is, the Oaks want to make it the best weekend of the year! This Thirsty Thursday will feature, in addition to the usual fare, schedules for the 2009 season. At least it'll be something to stare at over those Winter months!

Friday, August 29 vs. Bakersfield Blaze - Fan Appreciation Day 2, Fireworks and Magnet Schedules - The regular season home finale! Another 100 raffle prizes, an end-of-the-year magnitude fireworks show, more 2009 schedules, and a veritable cornucopia of fun! If you're not at the last game of the year, shame on you...unless of course there are playoff games. Then you get a reprieve.

Prizes are still rolling in, but already include chocolate, windbreakers, gift certificates good all over Tulare County, trips, goodies, and more!
