Oakland Roots Begin Playoff Quest with Away Trip to San Diego Loyal

Oakland Roots were able to qualify for the USL Championship playoffs as the last team in on the last day of the season for the second consecutive season. Oakland enter the first round as the 7th seed in the west and will begin their playoff journey away in San Diego on Sunday night against Loyal SC. The most recent match between the two was also the first game as head coach for Noah Delgado. Oakland left San Diego that day with a 3-1 win that saw their record against the Southern California side grow to 3-2-1 all time. Fans are encouraged to join other fans at the Athletic Club Oakland for the official Roots watch party or tune in to KTVU Plus to support the team from home.
