Springfield/Ozark Mountain Ducks News Release
OZARK, MO â The Springfield-Ozark Mountain Ducks of the Central Baseball League announced today that the New York Mets have purchased the contract of Ducks outfielder Patrick O'Sullivan.
He has been assigned to play with the New York Mets class-A affiliate; the Brooklyn Cyclones of the NY-Penn League. The Mountain Ducks picked up O'Sullivan in a league-wide draft after the Greenville Bluesman suspended its operations at the end of the 2001 season.
The Illinois native hit .323 with 18 home-runs and 74 RBI's with the Greenville Bluesman in 2001. O'Sullivan was first drafted by the New York Mets in the 1999 draft, where he played with their rookie club, the Kingsport Mets.
