
NWSL to Hold Offseason Waiver Process Next Week

CHICAGO (Oct. 14, 2015) - The National Women's Soccer League's will hold the offseason waiver process next week where any NWSL player not under contract at the conclusion of the season will be made available on the waiver wire. The Waiver Process was originally schedule to be held on Oct. 12.
The list of available players will be distributed to all nine NWSL teams in advance of the waiver wire opening on Wednesday, Oct. 21 at 1 p.m. ET. Teams have until Thursday, Oct. 22 at 1 p.m. ET to make submissions for players in the 2015 Waiver Wire.
In the event a player is requested by more than one team, that player will be awarded to the team with the lower finish during the 2015 NWSL regular season. Once a team claims a player from waivers via the tie-breaker, it is moved to the bottom of the order for all future waiver sessions for the remainder of the offseason.
