Beaumont, TX - Tonight the SETX Mustangs ABA Power Ranked #1 team in the nation will be taking on the San Antonio - Texas Fuel #2 ranked team tonight at Ford Arena. Tip off at 7:30pm for Fan Appreciation Night.

ABA Power ranking began in the 2004-05 season and tonight for the first time in history the #1 and #2 teams will play for number one status.

On Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at ABA press time the following information was released to the public:

Southeast Texas Mustangs Keep #1 Position In Power Rankings

Indianapolis, IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) today released its Power Rankings for the week of January 12th and once again, the Southeast Texas Mustangs held the number one position closely followed by the Texas Fuel, Nashville Broncs, Maywood Buzz, Cleveland Rockers, Kentucky Bisons and Beijing Aoshen Olympian. According to Pierre Hall, Chairman of the ABA Power Ranking Committee, "These teams are all very close and any one of them could be #1. We have some great match-ups coming with the Mustangs playing the Fuel, the Olympians playing the Buzz, the Bisons playing the Spartans...who knows what will happen? And there are even teams not in the Top 24 that are beginning to show some strength." The rankings:
