Number 3 Oregon State Beavers send 3 to Bend

Bend, OR March 14, 2013 -As announced by the Bend Elks Baseball Club and Head Coach Joe Dominiak, the Elks have added 3 players from the #3 Oregon State Beavers.
The latest commits to the Elks roster continue the Elks trend of mixing new schools with traditional teams that send players to the Elks. Campbellsville University, the University of Utah, and Westmont College will send 1 player each to the Elks, Pacific Lutheran sends 2, and Oregon State is sending 3, including Justin Bohn, who is spending 2012 with Feather River before transferring to OSU.
Among the new signees to the Elks is Tyler Painton, a left handed pitcher for the Oregon State Beavers. Painton transferred to Oregon State from Bakersfield College, where he went 8-1 with a 1.69 ERA, s triking out 74 hitters in 80 innings during the 2012 campaign. So far in 2013, Painton has made 3 appearances for the Beavers, allowing no runs and a .086 batting avera ge to opposing hitters through 11 and 2/3 innings.
