Head Coach Eric Quill:

General thoughts on the match..

"I liked our start to the game. I thought they stayed deep in the first half and we didn't come up with good solutions. We really just wanted to circulate the outside of the field. We want to get away from that being our only way. We went back to drawing boards at half time and really told them to focus on the middle of the field in combinations. And once we did that we started to play through them. I felt like in the second half was a much better half from soccer side."

On the academy players in the squad...

"They've grown a lot of these past few weeks. We had a lot of these 05's come in. We got Diego [Hernandez] in the game. I know it wasn't much but it's a moment that I'm proud of Diego for earning. We would never have had him in the 16-man roster if we didn't think he could handle it. Grady Easton found his way into the game more in the second half after a few error passes. But you got to expect that from a kid playing his first professional game. [Justin] Che did outstanding in the right back area. He's probably a center back, but he has those high level right back tendencies. This is going to take them to the next level, but I feel like they believe a lot more."

On seeing fans in the stands...

"Seeing fans for the first time makes the world a difference. When you get that support, we want to give them that good product. The feel is outstanding, and the stadium is outstanding, and I want to make these guys feel blessed. We want to make it special each time out"

Forward Alex Bruce:

General thoughts on the match...

"We moved the ball nice from side to side. They stepped up a lot and pressed us. So, we had a lot of trouble breaking through them in the first half. But in the second half we started breaking through and found more success.

On being new to the team...

"It was a good feeling for us to be here. The support everyone gives us here is amazing. The new stadium and seeing all the fans is a blessing. I am blessed to be here.

On the team coming together...

"We are all good and excited. We are a pretty new team and you know we are all young guys. We are all getting together, and everyone is excited to play. The chemistry is good right now."
