LYNN, Mass. - Jumping on the trend Minor League Baseball teams are currently making popular, the Futures Collegiate Baseball League's North Shore Navigators will rebrand themselves as the Lynn Sailors for a series of games during the 2019 season.

The Navs will suit up in the colors of the Sailors during each of their five "Fireworks Friday" home games at Fraser Field, the final home game of the regular season on Saturday, August 3, and once at each opposing park throughout the summer.

Part of Fraser Field's 78-year history, the Sailors were the Double-A Eastern League affiliate of the Seattle Mariners from 1980-82. Notable players on the Sailors included Spike Owen, Alvin Davis, and MLB Network personality Harold Reynolds.

The jerseys will be auctioned off following the final home game on August 3 against the Nashua Silver Knights, which will also feature a special edition Saturday fireworks show. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Lynn YMCA. Fireworks are sponsored by Wayne Alarm for the seventh consecutive year.

"Once we saw how unique the Sailors uniforms were, it was an easy call to join in on the rebranding promos going on throughout the minors," proclaimed General Manager Bill Terlecky. "OT Sports did a fantastic job recreating the uniform, and we can't wait to wear them."

The jersey auction is presented by Dock125 Restaurant. They will have free family tickets available all summer long when you stop for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
