North River Fire Hawks Atom A to Practice with the PEI Rocket

This year, all minor hockey teams that attended a PEI Rocket game as a group were entered for their chance to win a practice with the Rocket. The PEI Rocket announced today, that the members of the North River Firehawks Atom A Hockey Team are the lucky winners of the Practice with the Rocket contest.

Next week, the Firehawks and the Rocket will take to the ice for a short workout together. Coach Guy Chouinard and Assistant Coach Corrado Micalef will put the members of both teams through an integrated practice.

GM Kent Hudson indicated that "it has been a great way for us to provide a little incentive for those teams that wanted to attend a PEI Rocket home game as a group. We love having kids in the building because of the excitement they create. This type of opportunity also fits nicely into our community outreach program which has been very successful in the last number of months".

The Rocket have two home games remaining before the playoffs begin. Friday night, the Rocket will host the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles at 7:00 PM and Sunday, the Rocket will host the Saint John Sea Dogs at 4:00 PM. Fans are reminded that playoff tickets packages are now available at the Rocket office. The Rocket opponent will be decided in the coming days, as the Moncton Wildcats and Cape Breton Screaming Eagles are currently battling for first in the Atlantic Division.

Fans are also reminded that the Fan's Choice Awards are scheduled for Sunday evening immediately following the game against the Seadogs. Tickets are available by contacting the Rocket office.
